Job Vacancy Liverpool John Moores University Computing Officer
Additional technical capability is needed to contribute to the support and development of the University's corporate information systems. This will include making a technical contribution to projects within the University's five-year information systems and processes development programme with particular reference to development using Oracle technology. The ability to exploit the functionality of current and new systems to provide solutions to meet the business needs of the LJMU user community will be a key requirement of this role.
You will need to have good communication skills, the ability to understand and articulate user requirements. You will also have strong database and SQL skills, reports and application development experience using Oracle (or equivalent) technology and tools, experience of developing web based application is also essential. Applicants should be educated to graduate level or equivalent. Previous experience of Higher Education would be valuable.
